The Serra of Lianas
Lino de Albergaria
Synopsis:
As a reader, I like to have fun with story lines that play with fear, the supernatural and the unpredictable and I usually cultivate a lasting friendship with characters that are present in more than one book. It was this kind of readings that led me to writing this story: thought of to have the company of several other stories and the participation of the same characters.
When I created Mrs. Dolores’ students, who were always led by Mr. Gumercindo aboard an old school bus, I thought of a number of independent adventures, all of them driven by a good deal of mystery. It was so in Welcome to the House of Fog, with its twelve students, some of whom were brothers. Now, in The Serra of Lianas, the thirteenth colleague arises, completing a rather suggestive number of girls and boys involved in strange and sinister things.
This time, in a windy landscape full of vines, caves and wildflowers, the heroes of the series deal directly with nature, experience the daily life of local people, listen to haunted stories and face daring smugglers.
